We are seeking an experienced Mid Backend Developer to join our team for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have skills in back-end development, with a focus on Java and Java Spring Boot. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications that meet our client’s needs.

THE PROJECT
Your first project will be for a client from the financial industry. You will contribute to building a web application that will change the way the client does business and support the client in providing their services to their clients.
The project is complex, with an estimated duration of twelve months, during which you’ll be working alongside other web developers and a QA. Although complex, you don’t need to worry about domain knowledge and business logic, as all specifications and designs for the project have been finished, and a PM/BA will support the development team with domain knowledge. Per project completion, you will transfer to another of our projects, usually lasting a year or longer.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS ABOUT
- Implementing web applications using Java to ensure they are reliable, efficient, and scalable
- The ability to independently manage assigned tasks to achieve defined objectives
- Willingness to proactively suggest code improvements and assist team members
- Building and maintaining APIs using Java, ensuring that they are secure and performant
- Write clean and maintainable code
- Deploy and maintain web applications
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and develop web applications that meet those needs
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- 2+ years of experience in back-end development using Java and Java Spring Boot
- Technology stack: Java, Java Spring Boot, JUnit, Hibernate, Microsoft SQL Server (or other relational database experience), Microsoft Azure Cloud (or other cloud experience), and Git
- Fluency in English
- Problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
